What is Forever Clear BBL light treatment for acne?

At DGB Clinic, Sciton’s Forever Clear BBL uses BroadBand Light to address active acne, inflammation and visible marks.


The protocol combines three light settings:

  • Blue light (420 nm): targets Cutibacterium acnes bacteria.

  • Yellow light (560 nm): addresses inflammation and redness.

  • Infrared phase (SkinTyte): supports collagen renewal and skin texture.

Pulsed-light treatment for active acne

Forever Clear BBL may be considered for inflammatory or hormonal acne, persistent post-acne redness and certain mild to moderate acne marks.


The technique:

The handpiece delivers light adjusted to your skin type and acne. Three passes use blue, yellow and infrared settings in sequence.

Expected results

Immediate effect

Redness and inflammation may begin to improve after the first session.

Evolution :

Results usually build over the series. A temporary flare may occur after the first session. Skin often looks calmer by the third or fourth visit.

Duration:

For moderate to severe acne, three to six sessions spaced two to four weeks apart may be recommended. Maintenance monthly or every three months can help manage recurrences.

Peut-on combiner ce traitement avec d'autres soins contre l'acné ?

Oui. Le Forever Clear BBL se combine très bien avec les soins à base d'acide salicylique, les soins au laser fractionné pour les cicatrices, ou encore les injections de néuromodulateurs pour réguler la séborrhée. Votre médecin établira un plan de traitement global adapté à votre profil cutané.

Ce traitement convient-il à tous les types de peau ?

Le Forever Clear BBL est sécuritaire pour les phototypes I à IV (peaux claires à légèrement mates). Une évaluation clinique préalable est toujours effectuée pour adapter les paramètres au phototype de chaque patient et exclure toute contre-indication (grossesse, traitement photosensibilisant, etc.).

Puis-je me maquiller après la séance ?

Oui, dans la plupart des cas. En l'absence de réaction cutanée marquée, le maquillage minéral est autorisé dès la fin du traitement. Nous recommandons d'éviter les produits irritants (acides, rétinol) pendant 24 à 48 heures.

Est-ce que le traitement est douloureux ?

La sensation est souvent décrite comme une légère chaleur ou un claquement rapide sur la peau. La tolérance est excellente chez la majorité des patients sans anesthésie préalable. Un gel refroidissant est appliqué avant chaque séance pour maximiser le confort.

Combien de séances sont nécessaires pour traiter l'acné ?

Pour l'acné légère à modérée, des résultats satisfaisants sont généralement atteints en 3 séances. Les cas plus sévères ou l'acné hormonale récurrente peuvent nécessiter 6 séances ou plus, combinées à un protocole d'entretien personnalisé.
