What is the HALO laser?
At DGB Clinic, Sciton’s HALO laser—the world’s first hybrid fractional laser—is part of our advanced skin rejuvenation offering. HALO combines two wavelengths in a single pass: fractional ablative (2,910 nm) and fractional non-ablative (1,470 nm). It targets two skin depths at once for a more comprehensive treatment.
HALO also features HALO Intelligent Energy Delivery (IED): a real-time speed sensor that adjusts energy to the movement of the handpiece for even coverage.
The HALO laser supports skin renewal in several ways:
Fractional ablative action (2,910 nm): creates microscopic columns in the epidermis and superficial dermis to prompt healing, remove damaged cells and stimulate tissue renewal.
Fractional non-ablative action (1,470 nm): delivers controlled heat to deeper dermal layers without removing the skin’s surface, stimulating collagen production and gradual tissue tightening.
Treatment time:
45 to 90 min
Downtime:
3 to 5 days. Redness, mild peeling and warmth are possible at first. Skin generally looks presentable again by days 5–7.

HALO laser treatment may address fine lines on the face (around the eyes and lips, and on the forehead), early to moderate skin laxity, uneven texture, enlarged pores, surgical or injury scars, mild to moderate acne scars, dark spots, uneven skin tone and menopause-related changes such as thinner, drier skin and loss of firmness.
The technique:
A topical numbing cream is applied 45 to 60 minutes before treatment. The HALO handpiece moves across the face in overlapping passes. Its IED sensor adjusts energy in real time. Depending on your goals, the physician can adjust the balance between ablative and non-ablative energy to focus on pigmentation, deeper remodelling or surface renewal.

effects & longevity
Expected results
Immediate effect
A tightening effect and improved radiance may be visible once the initial healing period ends (days 5–7). Skin can look smoother, more even and brighter as deeper remodelling continues.
Evolution :
Results develop over one to three months as new collagen forms in deeper skin layers. Texture, firmness and tone can continue to improve for weeks. Acne scars and fine lines may improve after the first session.
Duration:
One moderate to high-intensity HALO session may produce noticeable results. For deeper acne scars, pronounced laxity or menopause-related skin changes, two or three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart may be recommended. Annual maintenance can help sustain the results.
