What is a chemical peel?
A chemical peel applies a carefully selected acid solution to the skin to remove surface cells and encourage renewal. Depending on its depth, it may improve texture, uneven tone and radiance.
The type and strength depend on your skin and goals:
Superficial peel: often used for acne, enlarged pores, mild spots and dullness, with little downtime.
Medium-depth peel : may address fine lines, melasma, persistent spots and some superficial acne scars.
Depigmenting peel : a targeted approach for melasma and stubborn pigmentation, sometimes combined with other care.

0 to 3 days, depending on peel depth. Mild peeling is possible.

Chemical peels can address several skin concerns at once. By encouraging surface renewal, they may soften fine lines, dark spots and post-acne marks while improving tone and texture. Targeted depigmenting formulas may be considered for melasma; some peels can also improve the texture of stretch marks.
The technique: A solution is applied evenly to clean skin. Mild warmth or tingling is normal. The strength and application time determine its depth.

Expected results
Immediate effect
Skin may look brighter and smoother within 24 to 48 hours. Mild peeling may follow, depending on the treatment depth.
Evolution :
Results develop over a series of sessions and for two to four weeks afterward. Dark spots and melasma often require several spaced treatments.
Duration:
Results can last six to twelve months with careful sun protection and maintenance. Three to six sessions, three to six weeks apart, may be recommended, followed by one or two maintenance treatments per year.
